Overview
A Sport Pilot certificate is a specialized aviation certification designed for individuals who wish to fly light-sport aircraft, characterized by their simplicity and reduced regulatory requirements. Sport Pilot Requirements
- Be at least 17 years old
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
- Must posses a valid US drivers liciance.
Sport Pilot Privileges and Limitations
- Medical Requirements: No FAA medical certificate is required; you may use a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Passenger Capacity: Carry up to one passenger.
- Aircraft Type: No more then 4 person capacity (Can only fly with one passenger), Maximum stall speed of 59 knots
- Expense Sharing: Share operating expenses (fuel, oil, airport fees, rental) with a passenger, provided you pay at least half.
- Added Privileges: With endorsements, you can:

- Fly complex aircraft (Retractable landing gear or controllable pitch propellers 0
- Fly in Class B, C, or D airspace.
